Status: The Rufous-capped Antthrush is restricted to the Amazonian lowlands where it favors Terra Firme forest. It is widespread but varies in its relative abundance from fairly common to rare. It is known to range up to 500 m along the foothill of the Andes. It also occurs in Co, Ec, Br, and Bo.
