Identification & Behavior: ~17.5 cm (6.8 in). The Sharpbill has greenish-olive upperparts with faint wing bars and finely barred sides of the head. The underparts are pale yellow with black specks. The bill looks conical and is pointy. Sharpbill’s behavior is poorly known. It is known to join foraging flocks and also forage away from them.
Status: The geographic distribution of the Sharpbill is also poorly known. It occurs in a few locations and seems absent from other regions with seemingly suitable habitat along the eastern Andean foothills. It also occurs in Co, Ec, Br, and Bo.
