Identification & Behavior: ~25.7 cm (10.1 in). The Pale-browed Tinamou is brown with shades of gray on the neck and breast. The head is patterned with pale lores and eyebrow and white throat. The back is barred dusky and brown, brighter in males than in females. The legs are red. Its restricted range overlaps with that of the Andean Tinamou and Little Tinamou, but is distinguished by a patterned head, broad dusky barring on the back and wings, and red legs. Status: The Pale-browed Tinamou is common in the deciduous forest on extreme northwest Peru where it is known to range at elevations below 800 m. It also occurs in Ec.
