Identification & Behavior: ~11 cm (4.3 in). The Acre Tody-Tyrant has olive-brown upperparts with two yellow wing bars. The inner secondary flight feathers are edged with yellow. The face and throat are grayish. The sides of the head and breast as grayish with diffuse yellowish streaks, which grade into a yellowish belly. The bill is dark with a flesh-colored base of the mandible. The iris is pale. It forages in the understory of second growth and forest edges. It is similar to the Flammulated Pygmy-Tyrant but is distinguished by having yellow wing bars and edging on the secondary flight feathers, a pale iris, different vocalizations, and habitat selection.

Status: Acre Pygmy-Tyrant is a recently described species, which has been found to occur in Peru near the border with the Brazilian State of Acre. Its status in Peru is still poorly understood. It also occurs in Br.
