Identification & Behavior: ~22.5 cm (8.8 in). The Lawrence’s Thrush has dusky-brown upperparts and brown underparts. The center of the belly, vent, and undertail coverts are whitish. The throat is whitish streaked with dusky. The bill is bright yellow. It has a yellow orbital skin. It forages in the canopy of the forest in Amazonia. It is similar to the Varzea Thrush but is distinguished by having a dusky head and upperparts, by foraging in the canopy of mature mostly Terra Firme forest, and by having a brighter yellow bill and orbital skin. Status: The Lawrence’s Thrush is fairly common and widespread in Amazonia where it is known to range up to 800 m along the foothill of the Andes. It also occurs in Co, Ec, Br, and Bo.
