Identification & Behavior: ~13 cm (5.1 in). The Olive-striped Flycatcher has with olive mantle and gray-olive head. The wing coverts are blackish fringed with rufous forming two poorly defined wing bars. It has a conspicuous white spot behind the eye. The underparts are yellowish heavily streaked with olive. The bill is mostly blackish with only the base of the mandible pale in color. It forages at various points along the vertical length of forest edges and second growth. It is similar to the Streak-necked Flycatcher but is distinguished by having a gray-olive head, a darker bill, by two poorly defined wing bars, and by ranging at lower elevations.

Status: The Olive-striped Flycatcher is common in montane forests of the east slope of the Andes at elevations ranging between 350 -1400 m. It also occurs in Co, Ec, and Bo.

Name in Spanish: Mosquerito Rayado de Oliva.

Sub-species: Olive-striped Flycatcher (Mionectes olivaceus fasciaticollis), Chapman, 1923.
